The room price in Tartus (50 USD it is easy to travel between Aleppo and all major cities in Syria. There is excellent Bus service round the clock as well as train, You find quite a big change in Damascus city with dozens of hotels the straight street has been done up according the the traditional building methods and materials. It has been fully revamped the train station is a fair walk to the Tourist hotel in Aleppo, the taxi charge 150 SP The bus from Aleppo will arrive at the Harasta bus station, from there you take the taxi to Bab Toma(the entrance nearest the Damascus) you can get a local bus from Harasta to Bab Toma
