SYRIA CULTURAL TOURS
Day 1
We will be welcomed at Damascus Airport and transferred to our hotel. Overnight in Damascus.
Day 2
Today, full day tour of historical city of Damascus includes the Ummayad Mosque, tomb of John the Baptist, Azem Palace, Hanania's house, Old bazaar, the street called Straight, Via Recta and the National Museum. Overnight in Damascus.
Day 3
We start our tour by visit beautiful church of Sayedna, followed by a visit to Maaloula a village where the language of Christ is still spoken, before proceeding to Crac Des Chevaliers, the castle that played a vital role in the crusaders war. We will end our day by a scenic drive along the Mediterranean coast to the town of Lattakia. Overnight in Lattakia.
Day 4
Today we will visit Ugarit - the birthplace of the alphabet, including the Royal Library housing the 2,000 letters alphabet. We will continue by exploring Salauddin's Castle followed by countryside drive to visit St. Simeon before reaching the northern capital of Aleppo. Overnight in Aleppo.
Day 5
Full day tour of Aleppo includes the Archaeological Museum, the Citadel of Aleppo, the old and narrow lane Arabian Bazaar, Christian quarters and the magnificent 8th Century Ummayad Mosque. Overnight in Aleppo.
Day 6
After visiting 5,000 years old cite of Ebla we will drive to Palmyra - the capital of Queen Zenobia who challenged the Roman Empire and dominated as far as Egypt. En route we will visit the ancient and still inhabited city of Hama with its traditional water wheels. Overnight Palmyra.
Day 7
Visit of Palmyra before driving back to Damascus . Overnight in Damascus.
Day 8: Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
